Lewistown, MT
The vision for Creekside started as a group project in Leadership Central Montana and came to life as the result of a community effort to “Recharge Our Community”, also known as ROC. A subgroup of ROC, the Youth Engagement Commitee, evaluated the strengths and weaknesses of Lewistown and conducted an extensive survey to find out what was needed to retain and attract young families. The community spoke overwhelmingly in favor of the need for a family-friendly community gathering facility. Project partners also saw this “need” as a way to enhance the downtown economy by increasing activity in the area.
