• MOSAIC is a continued collaboration of three Montana Architects, Ben Tintinger, Jeff Downhour and Joshua Scott, that began a number of years ago in Bozeman under the mentorship of Architect Don McLaughlin. After establishing a new practice in Helena in 1994, the firm has evolved into the design driven and community oriented studios of MOSAIC Architecture. With a staff of five registered architects and an additional seven interns and staff, our office is located in beautiful Helena, Montana. We also have three LEED accredited professionals on our staff.
  • Our dedicated team also includes Gretchen Krumm, Anna Lindstrand, Brett James and Lindsey Olson in Helena and Mark Ophus and Jason Andersen in Snohomish. Aaron Holm is our construction administrator and Tracey Tintinger is the office manager. Together this design team brings the experience and capabilities, excitement and drive, and the creativity necessary for a successful process and completion of your project.
  • Through a design philosophy that is grounded in the idea of collaborative design, we strive for excellent design, quality work, and repeat clients. As architects, we engage all participants in learning about a place through its history, its people and its connections and together, envision a place that defines its own character. Our ability to solve problems, coordinate and organize the project team, and provide appropriate design has been the cornerstone of delivering successful projects throughout the Northwest.
  • MOSAIC is committed to providing our clients with the highest quality and performance buildings that meet their goals. An integral part of that commitment is the inclusion of sustainable design principles in all our projects. Not only do we have that obligation to our clients, we also feel we have that obligation to our neighborhoods, cities and surrounding environment.
  • Sustainable design can be most simply thought of as designing buildings to have the most positive and least negative long-term impacts on people, their community, natural resources and the environment. While that may sound obvious, consideration of these elements is not typically part of the building design process. Using sustainable design principles, we can design buildings that are healthier for people, improve productivity, lower energy and maintenance costs and reduce environmental degradation.
  • We pride ourselves on being leaders in the skills of collaborative design. This experience involves creating and developing a design process which draws people together and creates places with more creativity, more community and more purpose than can be achieved by a traditional design method. All building projects are destined to have a long-term impact on the community and region in which they are placed. Building design should strive to represent its community, its history and most importantly its future. MOSAIC provides the forum and facilitation for that collaboration.
